Colby's first Easter!!

This is Colby's Easter outfit. I had been waiting to have him wear it until he could go to church, so we went to just Sacrament. It's a good thing we went this week too, this is probably the one and only time he will be able to wear it!! Sad, I know, but good that he is growing like a little weed!! He sure did look cute though.
We went out to Tooelle to Shana and Jake's for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt. As you can see, Colby thoroughly enjoyed himself. Next year he will appreciate it a little more I am sure, especially the part where Mimah dresses like an Easter Bunny. The kids love it!!
Here is Troy entertaining himself during the Easter Egg hunt. Although he is still a big kid, he couldn't participate in the hunt, it's only for the little kids!!
Here are all the grown up kids on Easter. It was such a nice day!! The sun was a little bright, but I'm not complaining. I can't wait for warm weather all the time!! I am so sick of the cold. We went to California a few weeks ago so Troy could go check out the area he will be knocking in this summer, and he dropped me off at my mom and dad's house. I am waiting for a few more pictures from my mom from that trip, then I will post them!!

Our first week with Colby Lincoln

Our first family picture.

He loves his daddy!
He clings on like a little monkey!
Just chillin in his little tanning bed. He was a little jaundice, so he had to spend a few days under the light, which meant waking up every 20minutes in the night to adjust the shield over his face and replace his binki (I let him have one cause I felt bad that he had to be under the lights with no clothes on). It was a LONG couple of nights!

He loves to sleep on his mommy's chest, he'll sleep this way for hours! I love it!!!He has managed to grow a mullet. He needs a bit of a trim, it looks like Mehmet Okur from the Jazz!! Watch a Jazz game, I think you will agree! :)

OH, and he has taught himself to suck his thumb!! He will be taking a binki from now on, you can take away a binki but not a thumb!! (Troy and I both sucked our thumbs when we were little)

Colby is here!!! YAY!!!

Colby Lincoln Pyne
7lbs 2oz
20 in
born at 12:02 am Feb. 25th 2008

So last week at my appointment my dr told me not to even expect anything until the 4th or 5th of March, which was after my actual due date!! What does he know?? :) Colby surprised us by making a special delivery a week early!! And I didn't even get to give Dr Judd a hard time about it, he wasn't the one on call that night. So Dr Gordon delivered him, and I was happy about that, I had met him a few times before, so at least I knew who he was! :) Here are some pictures that I am sure everyone is dying to see!

Not even close??

Looking at this picture you would think I was gonna go any day now. Everyone in my ward always seem so surprised when I tell them I still have a few weeks left. Well the other day when I went to the Dr. he informed me that I'm not even close!! I almost cried, I thought he was going to tell me I was almost done! He told me, at another appointment, that I had a high potential for having him early because of the shape of my uterus. He also told me not to get my hopes up, but of course I did :( . So he told me last time that I shouldn't expect anything before March. Which is good, March is a nice month; it's just that February started looking really good to me!! Oh well, I guess I can wait. I'm just tired of being pregnant. We'll let you know if anything happens before then :)

THOUSAND OAKS/LOS ANGELES

So we found out where we will be spending our summer. And to tell you the truth, I can't be happier!!! We will be living in Thousand Oaks, CA. And Troy's area goes from Santa Maria to LA. This will be the closest I have lived to my family in the last ten years (since I moved to Utah). It's a blessing, this way the Whitezell's can see Colby more and it will be less expensive to come back here to visit during the summer! Plus there will be so much we can do out there! We will be there from the end of April to the end of August! So...YAY!!!!!!!!!

Time For an Update, don't you think??

We went out to Tooele (to Jake and Shana's house) for Christmas Eve. We (everyone but myself) went sledding right when we got there! It looked like a blast!! My time will come soon enough when I too can go sledding!A funny thing: this red jacket is from what I refer to as my "chubby days". Good thing I kept it around, it really comes in handy these days!! I will explain those days another time.

After sledding we ate an awesome dinner, then we were entertained by all the kids (and a few of the grown up ones too) with the story of the Nativity. Look at that cute shepherd, he is so into it!! ;)Christmas morning. We asked for things for Colby!! Santa is so nice!

We got a Jesus picture too! We were very excited!!Two days after Christmas we headed down to Cali to visit the Whitezell's for Christmas!! We went to Disneyland! It was way fun, even though I could only ride like 4 rides :(I had my own ride though. That's right, we rented me an electric wheelchair!! Trust me, I know that every other pregnant lady there was green with envy over mine!! It was probably the best idea we have ever had!! It was me and all the larger older people on them. This is on Finding Nemo, probably not anyone's favorite ride, it was the only one we used the wheelchair to cut in line for. (All the good one's I couldn't ride on anyway :( so we only had to wait 45 minutes for this one instead of 2 hrs) Sorry Dustin, your eyes are closed :)
Troy was sent away to ride all the fun stuff with everyone else, somehow on every ride, he had the ability to cover everyone else's faces with his hands!!! My dad still refers to him as the oragutang!! He had fun, I just cruised around with my mom, we rode the train, picked up fast passes for everyone, and watched the parade! Always a treat.
So...there you have it! Our Holidays!! It was a lot of driving, which in my current state was not the funnest time. But I love spending time with family!! We are officially in count down mode!!! Only 5 1/2 weeks left! I am so excited, I have felt for so long like pregnancy would never end! Well it will, and I can't wait!! I don't sleep as well these days, sometimes I cry thinking about going to bed, cause I know I am going to be awake again in just a few hours, and I am so tired!! If this is preparing me for when he is here, I'm a little nervous, I guess I should just plan on him never sleeping! We are slowly accumulating furniture for Colby, we are just getting one thing at a time, everytime we get a new coupon we get something new! We picked up the crib today. It's becoming real!! It's weird, there's actually going to be a baby here!
